Fantasy football start/sit Week 16: What to do with Mark Ingram

Mark Ingram got back on track in Week 15 after struggling against the Atlanta Falcons the previous week. The New Orleans Saints’ starting running back rushed 12 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught five passes on six targets for 77 yards in the win over the New York Jets. Ingram was out-touched by teammate Alvin Kamara in the contest for the first time this season by one catch, but he outperformed the rookie with 62 more total yards in the game.
Like most of the other Saints skill players, Ingram has revenge on the brain for the rematch with the Falcons at home Sunday. The Saints’ workhorse rushed 12 times for 49 yards and caught four passes for 43 yards in the Week 14 loss to Atlanta. The Falcons’ defense does a good job of containing the run this season.
Fantasy impact: Ingram and Kamara will be back to their bruising ways Sunday. The stakes are high for both teams. The Saints are going to run the ball a lot this game. The Falcons’ defense does well against the run, but it has been burned a handful of times by elite rushers this season. Ingram is in that elite class with 11 rushing touchdowns and over 1,000 yards on the ground this season. He should definitely be in your finals lineup.
